At M/s Anand Engineer's, our ultimate goal is to support India’s mission to become a pollution-free nation. Through the development and promotion of clean, renewable energy solutions like biogas and CBG/CNG plants, we are committed to reducing environmental pollution, conserving natural resources, and advancing sustainable development.

Biogas Power Generation Plants: An Overview

Biogas Power Generation Plants convert biogas into electricity and heat, offering a sustainable solution for energy needs while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. These plants capture methane-rich gas produced from organic waste and utilize it in gas engines or turbines to generate reliable power.

Biogas-based power plants are suitable for households, farms, industries, and communities, ensuring clean energy production with minimal carbon footprint. They can operate as stand-alone systems or be integrated with the national grid to supply electricity.

Installation Process of a Biogas Plant

Site Assessment & Planning
The process begins with evaluating the location for feedstock availability, water access, land stability, and proximity to power usage or grid connection. A feasibility study helps determine the plant’s capacity and financial viability.

Design & Sizing
Based on daily organic waste availability and desired power output, the plant is designed. This includes the size of the digester, gas storage system, purification unit, and generator/engine capacity.

Digester Construction
A digester tank is built (brick, RCC, or prefabricated models) where organic waste slurry is fed. This tank is airtight to enable anaerobic digestion, during which microbes break down waste to release biogas.

Gas Purification & Storage
The raw biogas generated contains methane along with impurities like CO₂, H₂S, and moisture. Purification systems (scrubbers, filters, and dryers) remove these impurities, ensuring high-quality fuel. The gas is then stored in gas holders.

Power Generation Setup
The purified biogas is fed into specially designed biogas engines or gas turbines that convert methane into electricity. The generated electricity can either power local facilities directly or be supplied to the utility grid.

Slurry Management
The digested slurry automatically exits through the outlet and is collected for use as organic fertilizer, adding value to agriculture.
